The City of Glenwood Springs invites community members to provide input on the future art piece at the North Landing Site during two upcoming public meetings on November 26 and December 5. The public art piece will be located on a future plaza area west of the touchdown site of the new pedestrian bridge, known as the North Landing.
Both meetings will be held at the Glenwood Springs Community Center from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Community members will have the opportunity to meet the chosen artist, Madeline Wiener, and discuss her future sculpture work for Glenwood Springs. Installation of the sculpture will be at the previous landing site of the old Grand Avenue Bridge on 6th Street.
Madeline lives in Colorado but has experience with creating public art throughout the United States.
