Construction on South Midland Avenue is likely to begin in 2020.
In an effort to better serve the South Glenwood Springs Community, the City is developing plans to rebuild the South Midland Avenue corridor. Through the City’s Request for Qualifications and Proposal process SGM was selected as the design consultant in 2017 and 30 percent design plans were completed in January of 2018.
The City of Glenwood Springs is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a $7 million Better Utilizing Investment to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grant for this project. The City also received notification in December 2018 of a $151,750 grant from the Department of Local Affairs funding rock fall mitigation, which is one component part of the larger project.
