Boat trailer parking will not be allowed at Two Rivers Park during the Grand Avenue Bridge (GAB) Detour, starting August 14.
This decision was made to allow for additional room for school buses to pick up and drop off, as well as for vanpool parking. The City of Glenwood Springs is creating a new parking lot nearby at the Centennial right-of-way, next to Iron Mountain Hot Springs. Any vehicle with a boat trailer attached will be required to park at this new lot, which will accommodate up to seven vehicles with trailers on a first come, first served basis. The Centennial lot will also accommodate about 60 additional vehicles without trailers.
The City of Glenwood Springs has created several other parking lots for use during the Grand Avenue Bridge Detour. In addition to the new Centennial lot, temporary public parking lots have been created at the West Glenwood Mall and at Vogelaar Park (parking is available to the public on nights after 6pm and weekends). And thanks to the generosity of our community partners, public parking will also be available at RFTA’s park and ride, Safeway, Walmart, Glenwood Meadows, and American Furniture Warehouse. Any of these locations will be a great place to park your car and continue your commute via bike, bus, or walking.
