Contractors at 27th Street will utilize a lane shift and intermittent one lane alternating traffic starting Tuesday, April 7th through April 10th from the hours of 7AM to 5PM each day. REMINDER: Do not block roundabouts during these delays.
Plan ahead: Expect up to 15-minute delays or utilize the 8th Street detour.
Beginning on Tuesday April 7th, there will be a lane shift at the west end of the 27th Street Bridge with intermittent alternating one lane traffic across the 27th Street Bridge during off-peak hours (8:30am-4:30pm) in order to facilitate the removal and replacement of damaged concrete.
During this traffic configuration delays shout be minimal, but travelers should expect up to 15-minute delays during a one lane configuration and short intermittent holds to traffic for equipment and materials deliveries. This work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Please note that drivers should never obstruct roundabouts. Obstructions to intersections, including roundabouts, is a ticketable offense and can cause undue hazards to the public. Not only can an intersection obstruction prevent EMS from travelling through intersections quickly and safely, it can also obstruct cars that are being directed through the construction site, causing further delays and obstructions to everyone travelling through the site.
