The City of Glenwood Springs has installed three Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. The locations include an expanded charging station in the downtown parking garage, City Hall, and Sayre Park. Funding for the project comes form Charge Ahead Colorado.
The City of Glenwood Springs has installed three new dual port electric vehicle charging stations with funds from the Charge Ahead Colorado Infrastructure Program, administered by the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) and Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC).
The charging stations will benefit the Community and the traveling public by adding mid-stream charging stations along a main Interstate through Colorado. There are very few charging stations in the Glenwood Springs area that are open for general use and these stations greatly expand access. The stations were located in convenient locations near the downtown and at a local park where tourists and locals alike can charge and enjoy the City.
The three locations with dual ports include:
- Downtown Parking Garage, lower level
- City Hall Parking Lot
- Sayre Park
The charging stations will include a small charging fee to help cover maintenance, repair, and future replacement costs.
