Paving Work Begins November 1
Crews working along the South Midland corridor will be doing permanent paving work November 1 – November 7. Paving along Midland Avenue will extend from Park West to the north end of the newly installed downhill wall. Paving will also occur at the Airport Road, Four Mile Road, Mt. Sopris, Three Mile Road, and Cardiff Bridge Road street connections. A one-lane alternating traffic configuration will be in place during this time. Please plan ahead and expect both extended work hours and drying-time delays of up to 15 minutes. Your patience is greatly appreciated during paving operations, a critical step towards preparing the South Midland corridor for the upcoming winter break.

Upcoming Construction Impacts
The following work will also be completed prior to the winter break. Notifications on specific dates and times will be sent out as they become available.
- Work on Hager Lane to install a storm sewer line will cause brief holds;
- Old Cardiff and South Midland intersection will experience intermittent closures of up to 15-minutes over a 2-day period while the Midland asphalt pavement is placed;
- Old Cardiff Road curb and gutter top mat asphalt work will be scheduled soon; 24-hour flagging operations will be in effect for 72 hours during this work, which will also cause narrower lanes and slower traffic on Old Cardiff Bridge Road.
