Vision Glenwood 2022 Comprehensive Plan Update

Participate now at www.VisionGlenwood.com

The City of Glenwood Springs is excited to kick off our Vision Glenwood Comprehensive Plan Update process! All Glenwood Springs community members are invited to participate in one of two virtual open house sessions on Wednesday, February 9. These sessions will be held live with Spanish interpretation on Zoom at 12-1:30 p.m. and then later at 6-7:30 p.m. Individuals may also participate anytime on the project website, www.VisionGlenwood.com.

“We want to urge every Glenwood Springs community member to get involved in this process and share your insights, ideas, and concerns. This plan will rely heavily on your input and will guide the direction of our city for the next ten to twenty years. Grab a seat at the table and join us for these important community conversations,” said Long-Range Senior Planner Trent Hyatt.

Session 2 Details:

Each virtual session will begin with a brief presentation then attendees will break off into small groups to discuss each of the planning areas and any other top of mind issues for participants. The planning areas include housing, growth management, mobility and transportation, climate and resiliency, economic development, and historic preservation. Spanish-language rooms will be included for both sessions.

The Vision Glenwood Comprehensive Plan Update process will re-establish the community's goals for the future and provide direction for decisions affecting the way we grow, live, play, and work. Beginning with the kickoff meeting in February will be a year-long process where Glenwood Springs will discuss the various planning areas, what our community thinks is working, and what we need to rethink.

This update will analyze and build upon the previous 2011 Comprehensive Plan, providing an opportunity to expand on top issues and priorities the have arisen for Glenwood Springs, and explore new and innovative strategies that can help us achieve our vision for a safe and inclusive community that values its cultural, historical and natural resources, and provides opportunity for all.
