[ARCHIVED] Expect minor evening holds on South Midland for the next month

Keep South Midland Moving

As the shotcrete wall final facing activity progresses over the next month, drivers can expect minor traffic holds Mondays through Fridays from 6 – 8 p.m. Crews are moving shotcrete equipment outside of peak travel times to limit longer delays.

Project Updates

  • While there will still be smaller paving projects in select areas through the end of the project, major paving operations along the South Midland corridor are now complete.
  • The parking lot serving the Atkinson trailhead is temporarily closed for parking through May 13 to accommodate construction staging. Alternates routes for Atkinson Trail are Old Cardiff Bridge or Midland Ave.
  • Until the end of the project in July and weather permitting, motorists can expect one-lane road closures on South Midland and delays on 27th Street on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. This project also requires occasional extended hours and Sunday work, notifications for which will be provided in advance.
